So I finally watched the pilot miniseries for Battlestar Galactica today, and I have one question for you all. Why in the name of Asimov hadn't one of you tied me to a chair and made me watch this YEARS ago?!

Oh, yes, Jamie Bamber is even cuter than when I first saw him back on Hornblower. Weird hearing him with an American accent, though, let alone trying to wrap my mind around him as the son of Edward James Olmos...

Do I even need to make remarks about the hotness of Starbuck? I didn't think so.

To complete my geekery, I'm going to have to find the pennies to acquire the Viper Pilots sock pattern (Ravelry link), and make them forthwith. Life is hard when you're a geek knitter.

Oh, if I had known you hadn't seen it, I would have been all over forcing you to watch it!!!

Soooooo, have you watched Farscape or Babylon 5? Those shows and BSG make my sci-fi geek heart so happy.

Lammie, there is no try, etc. ;P

Caramama, I have not seen Farscape, but I was a big Bab5 fan from its beginning. I didn't get to watch every episode as it aired (due to little things like life), but I have seen nearly all of them, and quote from them still. In fact, the subject of Centauri penises came up over Agricola the other night... yay for geekdom!

Centauri penises. hehe.

Well, you've absolutely GOT to watch Farscape. As much as I love (almost) all things sci-fi (including B5, BSG, Firefly, etc.), my favorite show of all time (I mean it) is Farscape. It's just fantastic. When you're done with BSG, watch Farscape. Truly worth it.
