My CNM said nothing about going off it, although he knew we were planning to be not not trying; I asked my primary care, and he said to try to go off it if I could. Well, I tried, and off it totally was not worth it! As my doctor told me (more than once), there are very few (if any) risks with certain SSRIs in babies, whereas the known risks of being depressed/anxious during pregnancy are well known.
